General Newsroom

On the 8th November, EV Cargo hosted its first ‘Flying Lap’ – a customer event at the Lee Valley VeloPark based at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The event was hosted by Allport Cargo Services’ and EV Cargo Global Forwarding CEO, Clyde Buntrock and Justin Gales (Divisional Director – SCM).

Key customers from retailers as diverse as New Look, Jigsaw and Kingfisher donned helmets, gloves and lycra to experience what it’s like cycling on the fastest track in the world. Already keen cyclists, they were joined by members of the EV Cargo Team from Allport Cargo Services and EV Cargo Technology.

Attendees learnt basic track skills and saw how their times compared to the professionals. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience of track riding at this iconic venue. Congratulations to Alan Gunner from EV Cargo Technology who achieved the fastest lap time of the day at 00.17:324.
